Africa hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup. South Africa became the melting pot of the world. Did you know the theme song, WAKA WAKA ( This Time for Africa) ~ Shakira  got it's tune from a famous Cameroonian 1980 hit Zamina Mina famously known as Zangalewa by Makossa dance group.  Due to the mix in dialects and the use of Pidgin English spoken in Cameroon, Nigeria and Ghana, some attribute the meaning as a tribute to the African soldiers that served in World War II. Others interpret it as criticism of the black military soldiers who served whites and helped to oppress their own people.
